Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment: Continuing Education Series
ASHP Advantage has launched the first continuing-education activity in a nationwide educational initiative on Preventing and Treating Osteoporosis: Opportunities to Make a Difference in the Ambulatory Care Setting. This free educational series features the following programs for pharmacists and nurse practitioners who are interested in improving the management of patients with osteoporosis.
- » Web-based Symposium
Web-based self-study program on preventing and treating osteoporosis. Participants can earn 1.5 hours of continuing education credit.
- » Monograph
A downloadable monograph (PDF) featuring strategies for overcoming barriers to treatment and nonadherence to drug therapy. Participants can earn 2 hours of continuing education credit. Expiration date: July 29, 2009.
- » Case Studies
Web-based interactive modules that teach the practical applications of
therapeutic strategies using patient cases. These are level 2 programs.
- » Webinars
Three live webinars featuring interactive case studies and audience participation to be held in September and October of 2008.
