Osteoporosis Prevention and Treatment: Continuing Education Series
ASHP Advantage has launched the first continuing-education activity in a nationwide educational initiative on Preventing and Treating Osteoporosis: Opportunities to Make a Difference in the Ambulatory Care Setting. This free educational series features the following programs for pharmacists and nurse practitioners who are interested in improving the management of patients with osteoporosis.

Web-based self-study program on preventing and treating osteoporosis. Participants can earn 1.5 hours of continuing education credit. - » Monograph
A downloadable monograph (PDF) featuring strategies for overcoming barriers to treatment and nonadherence to drug therapy. Participants can earn 2 hours of continuing education credit. Expiration date: July 29, 2009. - » Case Studies
Web-based interactive modules that teach the practical applications of therapeutic strategies using patient cases. These are level 2 programs.
