Katherine W. Phillips, Pharm.D., CACP, is Clinical Specialist in Anticoagulation and Cardiology at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Phillips earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in Boston. She completed a pharmacy practice residency accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), as well as an ASHP-accredited cardiology specialty residency, at Boston Medical Center.

Dr. Phillips' current responsibilities at Boston Medical Center include clinical practice in both cardiology service and inpatient anticoagulation services. Dr. Phillips is working to develop and implement inpatient anticoagulation services. The consulting service will provide management of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT), appropriate use of warfarin, and the provision of continuity of care between outpatient clinic visits and inpatient admissions.

In the academic arena, Dr. Phillips lectures at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Northeastern University, focusing on cardiovascular topics. She serves as a clinical preceptor for residents, as well as pharmacy students, from Northeastern University. Dr. Phillips is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
